So, I quit Aria.
Hope the remaining players have fun.
I thought I'd post a few words, and maybe they'll help Fax with the rest of it.
The plot: We want from not having anything to do most of the time, to having stuff we wanted to do but were stuck... wherever that place we've spent the last forever at. Maybe that was going to go somewhere cool, but I don't know, it just seemed like we were jumping through hoops that were on fire for no discernible reason. That's just me anyway, and maybe other people were liking it.
The players: I didn't join the game at the beginning because of Lafing_Cat being in it, what made you think I was going to want to stay in it when his (also an immortal) character came back? I tried, but maybe not hard enough, to tough it out, but I don't need snide little barbs being thrown at me every session. Alboqwer... why did Farmer John stop showing up, again? Spoony: Uh, why did he stop showing up, again?

So Jade, I was listening to Shatner's Has Been while toiling in my office, and this popped into my head.
Picture, suddenly, in the middle of overblown (and slow) Aria drama, a band starts playing and Karl starts singing like William Shatner. The spotlight focuses on him and Selene, and he 'sings':

It was better this week, after the incredibly slow start. When a player wants to know what Area lore is applicable, just bloody tell them. I got detained for like an hour in the middle of it though, so I missed a big chunk.

Yeah... so... nothing much to say.
Tim supposedly bought Diablo 2, so we might play that. Dkaid was talking about going out for lunch. Katie talked me ear off while we were partied up down in Nif. Then we hit up Glast Heim for a good flensing. Went exploring in there, got some okay loot. Not the best XP, but it was a blast. We hit Glast Heim, then Glast Prisons 1, then back to Glast Heim on the way to Glast Stairs, then down into the Culverts, and I don't know where after that. Amanda went all Ninja mode on the Stings down there. Lotta fun.
Oh, and yes, no Aria tonight because Fax was sleeping or whatever it is he does.

So, Aria: Rebirth or whatever Fax is calling it finally got going again. No Liava, Janos, or Carson though. But we did pick up a new character, Pekke or something. Was fun playing Nachttier again, even if he mostly sits in the background lurking or looming. :p

Yay. :D
Didn't have classes today, thanks to the wonderful thing known as "Fall Break." Spared me from the OMG HORROR of Math Methods, anyway.
Finished watching Shadow Skill TV today. First twelve episodes were great. I got this fun Slayers-vibe from watching it. The remaining fourteen alternated between "Great" and "Meh..." with vastly more of the latter than there was of the former. And I swear, if I ever see someone hallucinate about stampeding cattle or a Bald Eagle hatching while the villain is suppose to be twisting their head off during the last episode again, I'm just going to stop watching there and call it a day.
Cleaning house still, so here's something my fellow Aria-ites might find interesting: The draft copies of the Shadow-monsters' character sheets from that session I ran. I'd have posted the final sheets but they were nowhere to be found, while these incomplete ones were. Oh well, see it behind the cut.
